Christmas Poem 2010

Despairing, frustrated, she sat by the way
Her heart in confusion, her mind in turmoil
The evening turned to dusk, life'd no sunshine ray
Bitter, lonely, she knew no joy

Rising up, she strolled by the store
Her shoulders hung down, a visage of sadness
Carols leapt thru the frosty air; But her heart cried out for something more
For no Santas or Rudolphs, could her broken heart nurse

Christmas trees, candy sticks, holly and stars
Lined the streets and peeped from corners
Children laughed and boys shout "Hurrah!"
And she recalled, they were, too, once hers

Flipping through memory's pages
She saw herself, a cheerful little child
Sitting by the fire, free from fears
While her father told the story, loved so well

How years ago, a Savior was born
The King of glory, in hum'lity adorn
Came to earth on a cold, wretched morn

He was Heaven's most precious Gift
Worth far more than stars or galaxies
Heaven robbed for earth's doomed thieves

The Heir of the planets and universe
Into a speck of humanity immerse
And became a man like me, you, and others

O, that day of love in action
When the Creator joined His creation
And hopes found their realization

For the One who made life and time
Lovingly, entered its confines
And showed mercy in it's true kind

With glistening eyes and tear-drenched cheeks
She sobbed quietly into her arms
Pleading with Christ her life to fix
And into her heart, His reign to come

Recalling stories of a Savior kind
Who must be near in this loneliness
She knew the Shepherd would for sick sheep find
And more so her on this eve of Christmas

She prayed her first prayer in many godless years
And spoke to her Father who loved her so
Then gone were her uncertainties and fears
For He loved her and healed her soul

Peace unknown flooded her being
The emotional turbulence within her ceased
For into her heart has come her King
To fill her life, with the gift of Jesus and hope and peace

CHRISTmas 2009

Merry X'mas
Proclaim the flyers

A season for laughing
A time for giving

We are celebrating
Because everyone is doing

But what is X'mas
Why is there cheer

Though everyone's merry
Isn't there worry

Broken homes
Overwhelming loans

Hangs in the air
With many other cares

Come, hear the true story
Listen, you tired and weary

A long time ago
In Bethlehem of old
Far out there in the cold
Some shepherds were told

By angels in the sky
Singing there on high
That somewhere here the Saviour lie
One day, in this world to die

So eagerly they came
Shepherds who were poor and faint
Seeking not riches gain
But a King who'd bear their pain

Searching high and low
They found Him not in gold
Bur where cattle low
O, joy that filled their soul

Giving Him their adoration
Their hearts and acclamation
They rose with jubilation
And left, His Name in declaration

For into their hearts He came
And there to rule and reign
O, the joy they'd gain
No earthly words explain

So hear, all you people
Hearken, all you hearers

For this is CHRISTmas
The birth of Jesus

Our reason for praising
Our purpose for rejoicing

So let CHRISTmas this year
Be filled with cheer

No earthly pleasure compare
To His love and care

As He brings you joy
In all your toil

So, come let us share and sing
The Joy of CHRISTmas Jesus brings

Nature n Me

The wind tore through my hair
And the sun beamed its golden smile on me
As I walk this same old path
That I've tread a hundred times

The birds sing gleefully
And dance from branch to branch
While others flit and float and fly
Just beneath the sun-drenched skies

I am like the passing wind
A moment here, a moment gone
I wish I could soar above the noise
Like an eagle up on high

A silly poem on B4

A child is bored
The child has thought
That somehow or not
She hasn't been caught

A child has grin
The widest beam
'Cuz somehow it seems
The winner's her team

A child struggles
As she mumbles
That why must others
Be such bothers

A child lies down
And hears some sounds
She learns to count
Then dreams around

A child is five
She must decide
Whether to cry
Or even sigh

A child can play
In the day
'Cuz it's May
And that's the way

King Jesus

Born in a stable
Laid in a manger
O, love infinite
And grace that sought me out
The King of glory, no sin to hide
There in the manger He lied
And left His glorious throne above

Gratefulness

Gratefulness at a meal table
Is like honey so dear
Just a word of thanks without mumbles
To the one who hears
Is like very precious pearls

My Shepherd

The Shepherd's calling,
Will you answer?
He saves the failing,
Indeed, He's near!

Oh, lift up your voice,
And call to Him;
He knows your toils,
Though it mayn't seem.

He wants to help,
Will you be still?
And let Him help,
Your sorrows heal?

He's just a prayer,
Away from you;
Cast all your cares,
Many and the few.

He knows your pain,
He sees your shame;
Prayer's not in vain,
Praise be His Name!

He'll lift you up,
And help you stand;
He'll with you sup,
Strong is His hand!

His Name is Jesus,
The Prince of Peace;
Son of Righteousness,
I am His!

Holy, faithful, and true,
Grace, mercy, and peace,
Last and the first,
That's who my Lord is!

Life's a speckle
To eternity;
When it's over,
Jesus I see!

Psalm 121 ~ Part II

When things don't work the way you'd plan
And you seem to look to man
Remember God is with you
And His promises too
That's why, "Don't look down-Look up!"

When you are on the lurch
And might be singing a dirge
Remember Jesus comforts
And it's so according to His Word
That's why, "Don't look down-Look up!"

When things don't work the way you'd wish
And the outcome looks so swish
Remember God loves you
And alone can make us joyful
That's why, "Don't look down-Look up!"

When the skies are cloudy
And storms seem likely
Remember Jesus has calm a storm
And He controls all storms
That's why, "Don't look down-Look up!"

When things look bad
And you feel so sad
Remember you have a Father who cares
And will help you bear
That's why, "Don't look down-Look up!"

When your life's in pieces
And you've made it look useless
Remember Jesus died for you
And will guide you because He loves you
That's why, "Don't look down-Look up!"

When you doubt His ability
And wonder if He truly loves you
Remember His Word is true
And He will love you all the way through
That's why, "Don't look down-Look up!"

When you began to be able to see
And know His glory
Remember once again He has been with you
And His Word has never and will never ever fail you
That's why, "Don't look down-Look up!"
