A silly poem on B4

A child is bored
The child has thought
That somehow or not
She hasn't been caught

A child has grin
The widest beam
'Cuz somehow it seems
The winner's her team

A child struggles
As she mumbles
That why must others
Be such bothers

A child lies down
And hears some sounds
She learns to count
Then dreams around

A child is five
She must decide
Whether to cry
Or even sigh

A child can play
In the day
'Cuz it's May
And that's the way

King Jesus

Born in a stable
Laid in a manger
O, love infinite
And grace that sought me out
The King of glory, no sin to hide
There in the manger He lied
And left His glorious throne above

Gratefulness

Gratefulness at a meal table
Is like honey so dear
Just a word of thanks without mumbles
To the one who hears
Is like very precious pearls

My Shepherd

The Shepherd's calling,
Will you answer?
He saves the failing,
Indeed, He's near!

Oh, lift up your voice,
And call to Him;
He knows your toils,
Though it mayn't seem.

He wants to help,
Will you be still?
And let Him help,
Your sorrows heal?

He's just a prayer,
Away from you;
Cast all your cares,
Many and the few.

He knows your pain,
He sees your shame;
Prayer's not in vain,
Praise be His Name!

He'll lift you up,
And help you stand;
He'll with you sup,
Strong is His hand!

His Name is Jesus,
The Prince of Peace;
Son of Righteousness,
I am His!

Holy, faithful, and true,
Grace, mercy, and peace,
Last and the first,
That's who my Lord is!

Life's a speckle
To eternity;
When it's over,
Jesus I see!

Psalm 121 ~ Part II

When things don't work the way you'd plan
And you seem to look to man
Remember God is with you
And His promises too
That's why, "Don't look down-Look up!"

When you are on the lurch
And might be singing a dirge
Remember Jesus comforts
And it's so according to His Word
That's why, "Don't look down-Look up!"

When things don't work the way you'd wish
And the outcome looks so swish
Remember God loves you
And alone can make us joyful
That's why, "Don't look down-Look up!"

When the skies are cloudy
And storms seem likely
Remember Jesus has calm a storm
And He controls all storms
That's why, "Don't look down-Look up!"

When things look bad
And you feel so sad
Remember you have a Father who cares
And will help you bear
That's why, "Don't look down-Look up!"

When your life's in pieces
And you've made it look useless
Remember Jesus died for you
And will guide you because He loves you
That's why, "Don't look down-Look up!"

When you doubt His ability
And wonder if He truly loves you
Remember His Word is true
And He will love you all the way through
That's why, "Don't look down-Look up!"

When you began to be able to see
And know His glory
Remember once again He has been with you
And His Word has never and will never ever fail you
That's why, "Don't look down-Look up!"

99 Balloons

99 BALLOONS

As seen on the Oprah show - Eliot was born with an undeveloped lung, a heart with a hole in it and DNA that placed faulty information into each and every cell of his body. However, that could not stop the living God from proclaiming Himself through this boy who never uttered a word. In the midst of heartbreaking tragedy, the Mooney family found the presence of God strengthening, comforting, and guiding them. Their story reminds us to seek God and endure our struggles rather than blame Him for our hardships.

Psalm 121 ~ Part I

This poem was written in August 2007 during one of uncle Dr. Kuan's valley periods. And I believe it is also relevant for each and everyone of us in our daily walk with the Lord.

When life seems hard
And things don't budge
When I am tired
And am so crumbled
Don't look down-Look up!

When I am afflicted
And am inflicted
When life's so unkind
And is not fine
Don't look down-Look up!

When I ask God, "Why?"
And just want to cry
When I feel abandoned
And feel so burned
Don't look down-Look up!

When everything begins to muddle
And I feel so unable
When I have plan it well
And so I want to yell
Don't look down-Look up!

When I am hopeless
And everything is useless
When I am distress
And laughters are rare
Don't look down-Look up!

When all is blur
And paths are not clear
When trouble is lurking
And I can't think
Don't look down-Look up!

Song: Run in Faith by YMIblogging

race_re

Words & Music By YMIblogging
Did you ever feel that life is like a race
A race that we are called to run in faith
To strive to reach the end of the line
Pressing toward the prize of life
To take the crown of righteousness from Christ

But sometimes we falter and fail to stay the course
Our feet grow weak we want to run no more
Just remember the clouds of witnesses
Praying and urging from above
Surrounding us and cheering us to carry on

Fixing our eyes upon Jesus
He’s the author of our faith
Let us lay aside our sinful ways
Cause He gave His life on the cross and bore our shame
And grant to us His living grace

Let us run and not grow weary and lose heart
Let nothing persuade nor hinder us to stop
Let the Word of God abide in us
Be our daily strength and be our guide
Cause Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life

Blessed Father's Day

I wrote this poem in 2007 for our church's Father's Day Luncheon. Notice that the last 2 paragraphs are haiku with a syllable pattern of 1st line- 5, 2nd line- 7, 3rd line- 5. I've edited the last paragraph so it's a little different from when it was presented.

You were there when I was glad
You were with me when I was sad
You correct me when I was bad
Thank you very much, dad.

You taught me what was right
You guide me in what was right
You taught me everyday God's Word is right
Thank you very much, dad.

Thank you dear papa
I wouldn't be here today
Had it not been you

Keep on with it, pa
Three cheers pa, this special day
To my special dad.

River:My Life

Sometimes a day is like a storm,
Someday a ship is torn in shreds,
Sometimes a gusty wind blow,
Over big boulders and narrow canyons my water runs.

Sometimes not a wave in sight,
Someday here come I floating by,
Sometimes a gentle breeze past,
Over the waters my soul gently sway.

Jesus' Death and Resurrection

They chose a murderer
They killed a King
They'd rather have an evil doer
Than be led by a righteous King

They cast Him off
Even to the very last
His closest friends stood afar off
Yet He did not yield to the last

They whipped Him
And mocked Him
Till the skies dim
They refused to serve Him

Till on that cross
As Jesus died
The thief overwhelm by the love on the cross
With Him died

Till on that cross
When Jesus was pierced
The centurion looked upon the cross
And saw His loving face without a hatred fierce

That chaotic day
Ended with tears
His life He lay
To be painfully pierce

He gave His life
All because of love
To offer us eternal life
So that we may abide in His love

And on that third and glorious day
When the women came
His body in the grave no longer lay
For He has risen all the same

Jesus has risen
He rose for me
Our lives are turned
Because of the Light we now see

Jesus lives
He lives forevermore
And to everyone who believes
Live forevermore

Jesus ascended
He ascended to the Father
He took all our pain and hurts
And He's now with the Father

Jesus is returning
I know He's returning
Jesus is coming
I know for me He's coming

God's Handiwork

The handiwork of His hands
O, glorious is the sight
He made the sun to spin
So that all may see His might

Spinning and revolving
Giving light to all
An example of His love and light
So that all may hear His call

Today and Tomorrow

A thought for today
A plan for tomorrow
A dream of today
An achievement of tomorrow

The rush of the present
The peace of the future
The outcry of the present
The laughter of the future

The joy gain today
A destruction of the future
Oh, war of today
Oh, goodness of tomorrow

Family Noises

Daddy is working
Mommy is cooking
Sister is singing
Brother is reading
Baby is crying
Dog is barking
Cat is meowing
Mouse is whining
I am laughing

Daddy is hairy
Mommy is happy
Sister is cranky
Brother is messy
Baby is edgy
Dog is wobbly
Cat is silly
Mouse is wiggly
I am funny

Daddy says, "Preacher!"
Mommy says, "Cleaner!"
Sister says, "Nicer!"
Brother says, "Louder!"
Baby says, "Faster!"
Dog says, "Fiercer!"
Cat says, "Funnier!"
Mouse says, "Cheesier!"
I say, "Noisier!"

Daddy is calling
Mommy is scolding
Sister is giggling
Brother is bragging
Baby is chattering
Dog is yelping
Cat is whining
Mouse is squeaking
I am teaching

Each Day

Okay...all poems here are written by me unless stated otherwise. Hope ya'll enjoy! ;p

Each day a new thing to discover,
Each day a new thing to say;
When each day begins a golden circle,
We know it'll be a blessed day.

Each day we have a race to run,
Each day we have a battle to fight;
When each day we find new refreshing hope,
We'll walk with and not by sight.

Each day will never be the same,
Each day will contain vast differences;
When each day we see Jesus,
We'll rise above life's circumstances.

Each day will be a joy,
Each day a blessing God can use us through;
When each day ends with a glorious sunset,
Let's thank the Lord for all He's brought us through.

Each day we'll learn from each other,
Each day we'll learn to from our mistakes;
When each day we learn to forgive each other,
We'll also learn to give and take.
